“Imagination” – Cherry Carpet and Flooring was tasked to create a “patch work quilt” carpet to replicate what Mr. Anderson Johnson created himself in his East End Mission. While our work does not necessarily represent an item desired of purchase today, it “resembles quality work nonetheless” as stated by Mary Kayaselcuk, the Historic Site Coordinator for the City of Newport News. We are extremely proud to post this project which shows the incredible artistic abilities and workmanship of our Project Manager and Installer together as a team.

An innovative and inspirational renovation designed by RRMM Architects and fabricated by Cherry Carpet & Flooring. The Outtakes Restaurant is part of Nauticus, a contemporary maritime museum on the Norfolk harbor.Designer Charlotte Hunt working with Cherry Carpet & Flooring used Armstrong Vinyl to incorporate intricate wave and surfboard patterns throughtout the installation.
RRMM Architects received the 2009 HR ACRE Excellence in Development Design Award, Award of Merit, Best Renovated/Historic Renovation.
Armstrong Commercial Flooring featured the project and case study, published in Solution Spotlights.
